Regional Summits and Partners

Amarillo College, through a grant with the Texas Workforce Commission, will host a series of regional summits directed toward an audience of community college leaders responsible for career and technical training, adult education provider grantees, and local workforce board representatives. The Texas Workforce Commission is committed to integrating basic education classes with workforce training programs to propel adult learners into high-demand jobs. The needle is moving, but there is much more we can do.

New Energy, New Commitments

In order to have the trained workforce to support economic growth in Texas, community colleges and adult education partners must make their partnerships relevant by scaling co-enrollment to accelerate completion of credentials for in demand occupations. Adult education providers and community and technical colleges have to develop partnerships where none exist, and strengthen those that do by forging robust and meaningful articulation agreements and career integration pathways to help meet the needs of the current and future Texas economy and reach the completion goals under 60X30TX.

Note:

  • Seating is limited to 80 at each venue
  • Summit registration will be accepted on a first come, first served basis
