CCATT will host the second annual New Trustee Orientation for community college board members in Texas on Thursday, January 25th, 2024! This one-day seminar will be hosted at the TACC Office in Austin, TX in a hybrid format to allow virtual participation.
As the only elected officials in higher education, trustees and regents across the state represent an important voice in matters of policy, resources, and governance for our colleges—and an important voice for the students that we educate.
This event will be useful for recently elected community college board members and other leaders who guide the local orientation processes for new trustees. Presentations will focus on effective board governance, the board-CEO relationship, fiscal responsibilities, and key metrics for equity in student success.
