Community colleges are economic and cultural engines in every part of the state, vital to their communities and key to advancing the individual aspirations of students.

Community College Association of Texas Trustees

Since 2007, the Community College Association of Texas Trustees (CCATT) has served as an independent, member-supported organization for approximately 400 Texas community college trustees and regents. We are the sole association of elected officials in higher education advocating for community colleges.

CCATT strives to be the collective voice representing the community college trustees and regents in Texas, with the mission to foster student success and ensure excellence in governance.

We encourage you to explore our Advocacy page to access the new Community College Data Advocacy Toolkit, designed to help trustees engage year-round with policymakers and communicate the value of their institutions through data-informed storytelling.

We also invite you to learn more about the 2025 CCATT Annual Conference, taking place September 11–13 in Austin. The conference will offer in-depth sessions tailored for trustees, CEOs, and board liaisons, focused on effective governance, collaborative leadership, and solutions that strengthen student success across Texas.
